About Red Reed

Melissa & James LudingtonMelissa "Deviant Behavior" Ludington has played Roller Derby for the Jacksonville Roller Girls since "JRG" was established in 2006. For four years she has served as Vice President for the league and skated on the All-Star team, The New Jax City Rollers. Her husband James "The Wang" Ludington refereed for four years as well. They were and are still actively involved in roller derby and the Jacksonville Roller Girls league.

They were approached by their long-time family friend, and owner of Red Reed Threads, about creating a bag fit for Roller Derby equipment. Deviant and Wang looked at their sad, tattered luggage that held their equipment and made it their personal goal to bring the Derby Community a bag that would not only fit all of their equipment needs, but also fit what Roller Derby is well known for.... individuality and strength!
